UANews, the official news component of The University of Arizona, featured the AnimalWatch Vi Suite in an article posted June 7. The article describes the project and its work to develop an iPad app and accessible graphics to help students with visual impairments expand their understanding of math concepts and processes. Usability testing of the AWViS app began in the spring in Tucson and Phoenix. Our team is observing how students in various academic settings are using the app and graphics along with braille for those who are tactile readers. We will use student feedback from this testing to improve our product.
